In July of 2007, the National Order of the Arrow hosted the first ever National
Conservation and Leadership Seminar (NCLS) in Bloomington, Indiana, where the
National 2008-2012 Strategic Plan, titled Living the Legacy, was unveiled.
However, Living the Legacy is a broad vision which presents general the goals of
the Order. In order to bring more substance and meaning to the document,
lodges were asked to create a Five-Year plan which parallels, supplements, and
works with Living the Legacy on the local lodge level. Unali'yi Lodge
produced such a document in August of 2007.
The most recent, updated version of the Strategic Plan has now been uploaded
to the website and is available to all Brothers within the lodge. The Lodge Strategic
Plan can be found under Resources, or by click here.

The Dixie Fellowship is fast approaching. The location is the Anne Springs Close Greenway near Fort Mill, SC. Directions are listed at the end of this update.
TRANSPORTATION
We will be leaving for the Dixie fellowship this Friday as follows:
The first planned departure is from the Scout Office in Charleston (West Ashley) at 1:00 on Friday afternoon.
We will be meeting a group at the Summerville rest area on I-26 at 1:30 and departing from the rest area at 1:45.
We also have participants who live in the following areas:
---Georgetown (3) / Pawley’s Island (1) / Andrews (4)
---Blufton (3) / Beaufort (1)
---Hampton (3) / Varnville (2) / Walterboro (1)
I am still in the process of contacting people to determine if there is a convenient place / time for people to meet in these areas.
If you have already made plans to carpool from one of these areas please let me know ASAP.
*** All adults that are driving please reconfirm with me the total number of people (including driver) you can carry in your vehicle, again ASAP. There are several adults that I believe are driving, but did not specify a passenger count on their registration form. Due to 2 drivers with large vehicles dropping out the trip and several that must either go up early or come home early (can’t take passengers), the vehicle seat count is going to be tight.
FRIDAY DINNER
We will be grilling hot dogs at the camp when we arrive. If you would like to bring a bag lunch to eat that is fine, but the large group will not be stopping at a fast food restaurant on the way up.
CAMP SITE
Remember that you need to bring a tent. Please try to buddy up with someone to minimize the amount of gear we need to carry.
I have been told that there are no trees in the area to suspend a hammock.
Also, since this is not a traditional Boy Scout camp, we are working to bring dining flys and tables (another reason to minimize personal gear)
MEDICAL FORM
All attendees MUST have a Class I physical form with them that was filled out in the last 12 months. This form DOES NOT have to be signed by a doctor. It MUST be signed by a parent or guardian if you are under 18. We will have blank forms at the Scout Office and at the Summerville rest stop. You can also get the form at http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34414.pdf.
Note that a properly filled out class 2 or 3 form is also acceptable.
DIRECTIONS
The Anne Springs Close Greenway is located near Fort Mill, SC.
From I-77 traveling North - Take Exit 88 - Gold Hill Road, turn to the right. Follow this road, which becomes Springfield Parkway to the 3rd stoplight. Turn right at the 3rd stoplight onto Business US-21. The turn-in to the Dairy Barn is the first gravel road on the right.
From I-77 traveling South - Take Exit 88 - Gold Hill Road, turn to the left at the top of the exit ramp. Then follow the directions above.
A map of the area is located at http://www.sr5.org/08dixie/area_map.pdf.

All email addresses on the site have been updated and replaced with email aliases that use
the site236.com domain name. This change is in response to new guidelines for the
Dixie Website Competition and to enhance our overall site uniformity.
The Site236 Email List has been changed as well. In the past, the Site236
Email Blasts have been sent out through a personal email account. Now, we have
configured a mailing list (Site236-L@site236.com) for this same purpose.
Everyone whose email address was on the previous Site236 Email List has been
added to the new Site236 Email List so there is no need to subscribe to it again!
To join the Site236 Email List, visit the Site236 Email List
page.

Due to the guidelines for the Dixie Fellowship Website Competition, the Site236 Web Team has
temporarily removed all youth email addresses from website. However, we are working to set up
email aliases for all youth positions within the lodge. If you need to contact the Lodge leadership,
please send an email to the youth's advisor or the webmaster
and ask them to forward it to their youth,
or send you their email address so that you can contact them directly.
We apologize for the inconvenience but we will work to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Site236.com has a new look! You may have noticed the new layout for the lodge website. The Internet Committee hopes
that this design will enhance the capabilities of the lodge website and faciliate updates and expansions to the website.
The new layout relies heavily upon CSS coding and reduces the use of images so that pages download faster. The new look
uses white and various shades of red augment the Order of the Arrow color scheme. It also uses lighter shades of grey to
provide constrasting colors when reading different elements of the site.
|
| |
|
Site236.com has a new structure to support its new layout! The Internet Committee believes this new structure will
make it easier for users to find information in a shorter amount of time. The structure is designed to organize
copious amounts of information without duplicating information. It is also designed to facilitate communication
within the lodge.
